Michael Mallon was discharged again on 27th April 1915 under paragraph 392 (iii) - i.e. not likely to become an efficient soldier. On examination it was found that he was very obviously over age – at least 45 years old. |

It seems then that he finally managed to enlist and served as Gunner Michael Mallon with the Royal Field / Garrison Artillery. |
