Summary
Fred Mitchell was a son of John and Nancy Mitchell. He was born on 27th March 1897 in Tamlaght, County Tyrone. He was one of ten children. Private Fred Mitchell served with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. A report from June 1918 records that Fred Mitchell had been discharged invalided from the army. In all, at least five sons of John and Nancy served in the war.
