Summary
J T Murray was a constable in the Royal Irish Constabulary. Constable Murray was stationed in Coagh at the outbreak of the war. A number of constables in Cookstown district responded to the call to the Royal Irish Constabulary for 200 volunteers for service in the Irish Guards. The selection was by ballot, and the only name drawn from Cookstown district was that of Constable Murray. In December 1914 was attached to the Irish Guards.
