Summary
John Crooks was the son of Thomas and Jane Crooks. He was born in the Coagh area. He was one of at least four children, all boys. His father was a farm labourer who died when he was young. By 1911 he was employed as a farm servant with the Ferguson family. Samuel H Crooks had two brothers in the Ulster Division.
