The 1901 census has a listing of a Joseph Corr, aged 14, living with relatives at house 10 in Ballyloughlin, Moneyhaw, County Londonderry. The townland of Ballyloughlin borders on the western side of Drumullan. His older brother Patrick lived with him and his grandmother.

Private Joseph Corr was serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was injured at Ypres on 29th October 1914.

Private Corr lost an eye as the result of his injuries.

Private Joseph Corr, 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who lost an eye while fighting on the Continent, and who has been at his residence in Drumullan, Moneymore, for some time, has received notification that he is discharged from the army as unfit for further service.

In March 1915, Private Joseph Corr was discharged from the army as being medically unfit for further service, and granted a partial disablement pension of 10s 5d per week for life.
