Very little, if any information is known about John Canavan.
There are no obvious occurrences of a John Canavan in the Coagh area in either the 1901 or 1911 census.
There are two Medal Cards for a Private John Canavan who served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Further research indicates both were discharged before the end of the war due to their injuries. Their service numbers were 3401 and 4538.
No newspaper reports has been found from the time which relate to John Canavan.
