Thomas Doyle (Reg No T/392888) was thought to be the best match because he was a driver with the Royal Army Service Corps.
Driver Thomas Doyle enlisted on 24th June 1916.
Driver Doyle was discharged on 9th June 1918 due to illness. According to records, he did not serve overseas.
Driver Doyle would have been about 41 years old when the war ended.
The other Thomas Doyle (Reg No 2663) examined from the Royal Army Service Corps was discounted because he was born in Kildare and his next of kin lived in Dublin.
