12/05/2019 Although we know that three Crooks brothers served with the Ulster Division and were injured, we only know the names of two of them – Samuel and John. James is NOT thought to be a brother.

12/05/2019 James Crooks was listed on Panel One of the World War One memorial in Coagh Orange Hall to those who served.
13/03/2019 The Mid Ulster Mail dated 10th June 1916 lists a Roll of Honour of Tamlaght National School. Listed there is a Private James Crooks of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

04/03/2019 The History of Coagh booklet lists Sergeant James Crooks as having served with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in the war.
