13/03/2019 The Medal Card of J L Ekin records that she was initially a Sister with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve but later promoted to Staff Nurse. The Medal Card also suggests she was based in Salonika for a time.
13/03/2019 The Mid Ulster Mail dated 10th June 1916 lists a Roll of Honour of Tamlaght National School. Listed there is Nurse Jeanie Ekin who was working at Reading Hospital in England.
