15/05/2019 It is believed Claude and Stewart Garnett were related, as there were few Garnetts in Ireland, and only one family in the Tyrone area.
15/05/2019 Rev Charles Leslie Garnett died on 25th September 1914 at Ardtrea Rectory.
15/05/2019 Claude, his father and his step-mother all signed the Ulster Covenant in 1912. They were residents of Ardtrea. Violet Garnett was living in Westminster when she signed.
15/05/2019 The 1911 census lists Claude as age 25, living with the family at house 1 in Glebe, Coagh. He is described as being a ‘gentleman’.
15/05/2019 Rev Charles Leslie Garnett, remarried in 1901, marrying Anne Elizabeth Alexander, daughter of Robert Alexander of Garristown, County Meath and Acton, County Armagh.
15/05/2019 The 1901 census does not list Claude as living with the family at house 1 in Glebe, Coagh. His father was a widower and a clergyman of the Church of Ireland.

15/05/2019 Claude D Estarills Garnett was born on 27th April 1884 in the Coagh. It seems he was the youngest child.
15/05/2019 Claude’s mother was Lady Ella Sephia Stuart, daughter of 4th Earl of Castlestuart.
15/05/2019 Claude Garnett was the (youngest?) son of Charles and Ella Sephia Garnett. Rev Charles Leslie Garnett and Ella Stuart were married on 2nd March 1875 in the district of Cookstown.
15/05/2019 Rev Charles Leslie Garnett, M.A., was born in 1841 at Williamstown, Kells, Co Meath. He was the son of George Garnett by C. A. Stawell, daughter of Jonas Stawell, of Old Court , Doneraile. He was a Church of Ireland curate. He was first in Carnteel (1867), Tynan (1868-74), Ballyclog (1874-75). He became rector of Ardtrea Parish Church in 1875.
