Summary
Paul McGuckin was the son of Paul and Eliza McGuckin. He was born on 1st August 1893 in Kinturk, Ardboe. He was one of seven children, six surviving. He was a fisherman, like his brother and father. Paul McGuckin enlisted with the Royal Irish Fusiliers in Armagh (No 24755). Private McGuckin later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. Private Paul McGuckin was serving with the 141st Company of the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) when he was killed in action on Sunday 20th May 1917.

Bedford House Cemetery is located 2.5 Km south of Ieper town centre. The cemetery lies on the Rijselseweg (N336), the road connecting Ieper to Armentieres. From Ieper town centre the Rijselsestraat runs from the market square, through the Lille Gate (Rijselpoort) and directly over the crossroads with the Ieper ring road. The road name then changes to the Rijselseweg. The cemetery itself is located 2 Km after this crossroads on the left hand side of the Rijselseweg.
