Paul McGuckin was the son of Paul and Eliza McGuckin. He was born on 1st August 1893 in Kinturk, Ardboe. He was one of seven children, six surviving. He was a fisherman, like his brother and father. Paul McGuckin enlisted with the Royal Irish Fusiliers in Armagh (No 24755). Private McGuckin later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. Private Paul McGuckin was serving with the 141st Company of the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) when he was killed in action on Sunday 20th May 1917.

Paul McGuckin was the son of Paul and Eliza McGuckin. Paul McGuckin married Eliza McVeigh on 16th November 1886 in the district of Cookstown.
Paul was born on 1st August 1893 in Kinturk, Ardboe. He was one of seven children, six surviving.
The 1901 census lists Paul as age 7, living with the family at house 3 in Kinturk, Munterevlin, County Tyrone. His father was a fisherman.
