The History of Coagh booklet lists Sister Jeanie Ekin as having served with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve in the war. Nurse Jeanie Ekin work at Reading Hospital in England for a time. The Medal Card of J L Ekin records that she was initially a Sister with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve but later promoted to Staff Nurse. The Medal Card also suggests she was based in Salonika for a time.
